You want to start your own business. The next step is a good business idea. A business idea with which you can make money right away with not too much investment. Maybe after your MBO degree you already have quite a few skills that you can sell. Or maybe you want to discover entrepreneurship during your gap year after your HAVO final exams. Or you quit your studies because you already know you want to start for yourself. All good reasons to become an entrepreneur.

A good idea should of course suit you a bit. Some people think the environment is super important. The other goes all out on vegan. And yet another is crazy about sailboats or games. So mainly get to work on what you think is cool.

Most young people do not have much money to invest. So start small with something you can make bigger in a while.

You don’t have to think of something that doesn’t exist yet. In fact, almost everything already exists. The point is that you make something that exists just that little bit smarter or easier.

Are you sporty, then you can earn a nice penny with that. A boot camp is like a gym, but outdoors. Buy some weights, hoops and other gym equipment to trim outside. In the woods, in a park, on the beach, it’s all possible. Then come up with a program of an hour and invite other sports enthusiasts to join you.  Of course you can easily use Facebook and Instagram for this. If you do this twice a week with a group of 8 people who all pay 10 euros, you will soon earn more than the scholarship.

BUSINESS IDEA 2 – BECOME AN ONLINE MARKETER

Almost every organization wants to be visible on social media. Your hairdresser, (old) school, sports club, car garage and so on. You’d be surprised how many young guys, like you, are hired to help with that. Most small businesses don’t have the knowledge or time to fill and update Twitter, Insta, Facebook and YouTube professionally. So if you are handy on the socials, establish yourself as an online marketer.

BUSINESS IDEA 4 – LET YOUR NEIGHBORS WALK THEIR DOGS

Are you good with big and small dogs and love the outdoors? Start your own business with a dog walking service for working people in your neighborhood or village. Big advantage of this is that you receive money every week. Suppose you charge € 4 per dog per outing. And you let four dogs out three times a week, then you quickly earn € 50 per week.
