The NPD Group has revealed the sales figures for the video game industry in the United States for the month of August.

Madden NFL 21 was the best-selling game and the franchise has been in 21 years in a row the best-selling game of the month in which it is released. This year Madden NFL 21 has had better figures that Madden NFL 20 in the same month last year.

But this is not the only good news for EA Sports because UFC 4 was the second best-selling title (the franchise’s best debut to date) and was the only other novelty on the list besides PGA Tour 2K21, which settled for 14th.

As a curiosity, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (11th place) has become the 10th best-selling Nintendo game in the history of Nintendo in the US.

Software sales were $ 2.94 billion, 37% more than last year.

On Nintendo Switch consoles, it continues to dominate the list and has become the best-selling console in any August in the country’s history, doubling its figure from August last year.
